A searing drama about public and private indifference to the onset of the AIDS crisis and one man’s fight to awaken the world to its urgency. Produced to wide acclaim in New York, London and Los Angeles, The Normal Heart follows Ned Weeks, a gay activist enraged at the refusal of public officials, as well as the gay community, to acknowledge the mysterious new disease that is robbing him, virtually daily, of those he holds dear. The Normal Heart is as much a rallying cry today as it was when it exploded onto the stage in 1985, exhorting us to never give up the fight against AIDS, and against ignorance.
